Maybe I've finally figured it out...the most random, yet surprising bit of information ever.
A little strange though...and more than slightly disconcerting. I didn't think that even existed. What the hell?

memories and new beginnings
It has been quite a long time since I last posted something…but it’s so sunny and pretty outside, and I really don’t feel like studying just yet. The day is young…
Well, I am finally finished with class. It really doesn’t feel like April already. I remember when I first started going to these classes like it was only yesterday. I remember hot boy and him sitting next to me the first day in genetics. And I remember the random comment he made, and me glancing at him sideways, noticing the sprinkle of freckles across his nose. Oh hot boy with your not-so-hot name, Ronnie. It’s all right, I forgive you. You made going to class that much more enjoyable and you are really good looking. You made up for the name.
I finally figured out the name of that girl in zoology that would always talk to me…her name is Stephanie, in case any of you were wondering. She turned out to be really nice and not annoying at all. She is allergic to strawberries apparently. I also learned that today, along with a variety of other interesting immunology facts.
I will never take another botany course ever again. I can say that safely right now. I am so happy to be finished with that horrible course, never to draw another cross-section of a root or a stem again. Some of my habit sketches did turn out nice, but that’s only because I enjoy sketching and so that was the only enjoyable part of the lab. It’s too bad I couldn’t just sit outside sketching trees and flowers, and getting marked on that.
Right now I’m trying to study for marine science…the oceans are definitely very complicated. This makes for a fun study/memorization time.
My feet hurt because I wore flip-flops to class. Bah. Shame on you flip-flops for not being more comfortable! (why do you have to be so pink and pretty??)
It’s kind of weird…last year when classes were finished, I remember feeling happy because of obvious reasons. But there was always this underlying feeling of uneasiness, hiding behind the elation. I know it’s because I knew that I would be going back to Calgary, my old home, and really just moving back in time. Back to when I hadn’t yet gone to university or had sex or had been on my own. It was just going back to that old comfort zone, that old innocence. Last summer was definitely an interesting one, for sure. A lot of things happened then, both good and bad. Which makes me wonder about the upcoming summer months and what they’ll be like. Because this time, I will finally be on my own, no parents living there – it will be all me, for once. I’m looking forward to it because I don’t know how much longer I can survive here in Lister. The food is killing me (or lack of it, ha, whichever), and so are the people. Finally, I’ll be able to come home from school, work or wherever, and there will be nobody judging me – for once. Maybe the feeling that someone is always staring or talking about me will go away. That would be nice. This just brings me closer to the day that I will be able to truly live by myself, someday in the future, hopefully not too far off.
Hmm…working has been all right so far…it’s just tiring. I forgot how tiring a job is, even if I’m not doing that much. It’s just the frantic race to get there making it that way.
Schanks tonight should be fun…hopefully. I hope nobody does anything stupid and that there are no fights between anyone. Let’s ring in the last day of classes peacefully, perhaps with a bit of intoxication...
I think I’m going to lie down and read a book that’s not for class. Relax a tiny bit, then struggle through pages and pages of notes and the evil white textbook.
I hope everyone’s last day goes well!
XOXO
